It has been many moons since my last post. Hopefully I will use this blog to write something useful in the future. Until then we will see.

Today being October 1, 2013 and the Government is shutting down some of their services, I thought that it would be good to get another blog into the mix.
Seems that I do not post these that often. As a matter of fact it has been almost one year. So sad.
Today also is the first day of the signups for Obama Care or as it is really called, The Affordable Healthcare Act. It is really interesting to note that a recent poll was taken and 47% of those that responded to whether they agreed with Obama Care said yes but when they asked if they agreed with The Affordable Care Act only 35% said that they agreed. Is that interesting? Do you think that folks do not know that they are the same thing????
It is also interesting to note that as the Govt. shuts down the IRS stays in business. They will still collect what is needed to pay for the goods and services that the Govt. provides. All of us will still get our Social Security Checks so that is good. I for one was expecting my first check yesterday but I went on the site and they will not be sending my $$ until the 23rd of this month.
I will be writing some more stuff that has some meat to it but for now just wanted to get this out so that I had something. Have a great last quarter.

The fiscal Cliff
Our Congress and President are now in the process of putting together another tax package that will do nothing except kick the can down the road again. Sometimes I wonder if we are getting our moneys worth when we elect any of these people?
